From an investment standpoint, it is amazing. First purchase Nov 2017. Up 772%. Last purchase October- Up 25%. Join the party....after the pull back.

I think they mentioned something about finally changing up their vmware licensing model earlier this week. That being one of the items that really pissed people off after the acquisition.

I'm not a high stakes gambler.....at the casino the wife and I are on the $1.50 machines max......if we are way ahead maybe a $2.25 with our teeth chattering.

I just can't do anything more aggressive than what I'm already doing.

I'm doing about 60% better than a smoking hot market....the size of the pot makes the $'s far too uncomfortable to do anything different than feather the steering wheel at this speed.

    Steady wheel....watching the instruments....and praying....lots of praying.

Admittedly.....this is one of those times I wish my appetite for risk was off the charts.

      Sounds like you're doing great.
I make a lot of noise here but I only gamble with around 5% of my portfolio.

AVGO is a long term investment for me. One of my best.
SOUN is pretty mainstream. I like this stock.
QBTS was actually founded 25 yrs ago. I do consider that investment a gamble. If it tanks I will blame Matt.

Let me know when someone can reliably benchmark these models

The only benchmark I have is 8 yrs of self managed investing and returns that beat the S&P 500 in that 8 yrs. I'm a damn legend.

Another what a day! Shocking couple of months.
3 months ago I was doing retirement calculators that projected my portfolio value to be in 2 yrs what it is today.
Hope NVDA takes off soon. I'm sure if I sell some it will explode again.

It's been beyond belief.....not just the last couple of months.

Out of the last 8 years:
        - 5 of them exceeded 20%
        - 5 of them exceeded 15%
        - only 2 were negative territory
        - have I mentioned Dollar Cost Averaging...and that I'm not smart enough to time the market and read the fundamentals to guess better.

In my younger years, I had a 4% rule plan that gave me "my number".

Well, turns out, that number wasn't nearly enough LOL.....and I reset that number at the beginning of 2022.
Career was doing well, we got past COVID, and things looked more positive.....bigger (and bigger) numbers are within sight and Lord knows we will need it.

I expect my better half to learn what that $ is at some point.....Lord knows I just try to keep the credit card working for her and she lets me do the rest.

But I got a long way to go on the work side....too much fun and too much going on in this world to back away from the seat anytime in the next 4 years.

My regret is not putting more in RGTI and QBTS. Up 500% on a small position of QBTS and 70% on a wee bit larger position of RGTI.

      In Matt we trust.

Great job and - Agreed. Big props to Matt for putting some of those on my radar. I don't understand the language he was speaking, but he definitely brought some of them to my attention.

haha don't take my advice. I don't know how to read all them fancy charts. What I do know is the hpc(ai/ml/traditional hpc) area, very intimately. I know what the pain points are, trends , and solutions to them. I don't focus on say if john deer is coming out with a new tractor or new oil field was discovered in Suriname, or a new drug is developed to cure Marku2.0 aids. It doesn't matter one bit to me because it is all possible due to the field I work in so that is where I look. Probably missing out on a lot but it's ok.

CBRS cerebras. Their ipo got delayed but that is one im watching. Have touched their 1st gen hardware before, deployed a system hands on. I was talking to them at a conference in Nov but their dudes on the floor wouldn't budge on IPO status after investing 30 mins talking to them. I tried.

GOOG is my biggest position and I am up a decent amount on it. I think it still had room to run......

I dont really know what this means, but it sounds very positive.

Google's quantum computing breakthrough on Monday has left the physicist who heads the project a believer in 'the idea that we live in a multiverse.'

'Willow,' the tech giant's new quantum chip, succeeded in solving a computational problem so complex it would have taken today's best super-computers an estimated 10 septillion years to solve it — vastly more than the age of our entire universe.

But Google said its new quantum computer solved the puzzle 'in under five minutes.

A Google quantum computer's ability to solve an impossible problem in under five minutes has left researcher believing it is working in multiple parallel universes simultaneously.

That is the willow. Please purchase and read

One sector we should be looking at with all of this is quantum secure companies. These new types of systems can blow things like rsa (prime.number factorization difficulty) out of the water, think national security, satellites and offload encryption accelerators. Who is making quantum secure hardware and software for the future....

Paging Matt…this is Greek to me…but there is a recent patent filing behind it?

The new NVDA Jetson Nano developer announcement is pretty awesome too?

Interesting concept. I can see how it reduces latency with the memory stacked up in the die. It's almost like cache. I wonder where the memory controller is located on the die.

Good question.....I wonder if it reduces heat any?
LOL....likely a small piece of THAT puzzle.

On my gambling account yesterday I bought a few grand of NUKK. Was up a couple grand and then it dipped big and I sold at a couple grand loss. Today it went up 439%. Missed big on that one!

sold or stop orders filled on qqq, tqqq, avgo, hood, dave, cvna, rgti, and a couple more on the downswing. hoping to buy for less after hrs if it looks like the bleading has stopped.
picked up more soun, qubt, qbts.

maybe we'll see some rotating to nvda.
