This post is not about rifle scopes. Not bullet drop compensator
Would you invest in a stock that invests in small companies, start-ups, distressed companies, leveraging loans to help small businesses? They are called Business Development Companies, BDC's. Trades like a stock. Pays around 11% annually and pays monthly. Not much price appreciation in most I've researched, but may appreciate during lowering interest rate environment like we have now or earnings beats. It's a dividend play.
Similar to REIT's and MLP's in that the BDC avoids taxes if 90% of revenue is paid to shareholders in the form of dividends. Any thoughts or experiences from the 3-4 guys that follow this board? Or the 3-4 guys who chime in?
