The flounder were all over the t head of my pier in San Leon on Thanksgiving. Caught 6 and missed quite a few more. All released, hopefully I'll see them again in season. Had a slam on Thanksgiving afternoon/evening, then two days later caught nine different species in one day. Thanksgiving had 6 flounder, two specks, and one red. Saturday had flounder, black drum, stingray, hardhead, sand trout, speckled trout, sand perch, croaker, and whiting. Flounder caught on 3 inch swim jigs, as was the red. Specks on jigs under bobbers, the rest on dead shrimp on bottom. All in all not a bad few days despite way too much wind and erratic conditions.

Nice trip! Yeah it's a shame the fishery is closed to all take. The weather has been pretty mild so it may cause the run to be more of a trickle.
