    Some Seasonings You Should Try

The first two are Texas Sugar & Honey Bacon from Meat Church. They both are excellent on pork.
The other two are Fix It All & Fifty Shades of Steak from Stone Cold Meats. I use the Fix It All on just about everything from meat to veggies and the Fifty Shades of Steak on....well, steak.

Yes, I also use a lot of the Meat Church seasonings. Texas Sugar and Voodoo are two of my favorites.

Their "Blanco" seasoning is a really good one too. We use it on everything.

I miss the America I grew up in.

I am reluctant to try these items, salt, msg, other issues. I usually just season stuff up myself, little this and that. What is the benefit of using those vs picking and choosing ingredients other than yeah, I nailed it and IDK EXACTLY what I did to get there? Although even with that said I never just season from a single source. Read my lips here.... E V E R.

I never enjoyed a single seasoning item. Always appreciated the on hands seasoning flavors.

Try the Dan-o's stuff too. Cumin heavy and good for tex mex dishes.

I gettcha. I like knowing every teaspoon and I've even found a spice shop we get supplies from (I'll share when she wakes up) but I collect spices like coffee cups and bumper stickers....prolly got WAY too many. But it's fun for me to see how close I already am to stuff already on the shelves.

One I will say I try to duplicate every time and not buy is Paul Prudomme's blackened seasoning. I make new every time i recreated Haute Pursuit's Catfish surprise.

I have made it at least 10 times and in honor of Blake, you CAN'T use any jar item....even though he offers it up in his recipe.

I really like this stuff, it's made by some guys in Victoria, and it may only be a local thing. But their blends hit my taste buds.

I like using garlic on most any meat that I cook. This little grinder from Amazon does the job. Click image for larger version Name:	garlic.png Views:	0 Size:	512.8 KB ID:	154984

That is what I use as a base and maybe something extra if trying to get an ethnic flavor such as adding cumin for just about 70% of all recipes.
                        Working...
