I used to love different shows like boat, hunting, and fishing. They just don't do it for me anymore.

I won't be going! I already have a garage full of fishing gear that I need to be getting rid of. You'll be seeing THAT in the Classifieds later in the year.

Ill say this about Sarge...he called me up over a year later once to ask me if I wanted him to build me a ND rod.

I had no want for one and turned him down but the fact that he remembered me from only two visits and years apart told me he cares about his customers.

I may get one in retirement...

I will go tonight. Going the Thursday night is a tradition of probably 25 years with 4-6 friends where we make the tour and do dinner before or after. It's fun and we all have multiple friends and some family with booths at the Fishing Show.

Nope. Haven't been since the Holder Show days. I just don't do downtown Houston anymore.

My grandson loves to go so I'll be going probably Saturday with him. Wife, daughters and I went together for years back when it was in the Dome. When they no longer wanted to go several friends from work went together every year for many years. Those friends have since moved away or passed but my grandson has taken up the slack so I still have a good companion to encourage me to keep going.

Went yesterday. Enjoyed it. The father of TranSport boats was there. Spent 30 minutes talking to him about how they came to America and started crabbing, shrimping, building shrimp boats, and eventually the business they have now.
Like most here, he’s furious about the money being spent on migrants, especially the recent discovery of 900 million on hotels for them

Fascinatingly interesting guy to talk to.
