    What's for lunch

    Followed up storebought baked goods for breakfast with a pot of homemade picadillo. I usually grind my own ground beef, but the price per lb. for 93% lean GB at HEB was about the same as a choice cut chuck roast. Click image for larger version

    Still cooking, pork stew. I'm a sucker when meat goes on sale so I have a freezer full of pork tenderloins. Also found something new at HEB, Famous Daves spicy dill pickle w/ garlic. Way better than any store bought pickle I've tried. Pics of stew later.
    Famous Dave's new Spicy Dill Pickle Chips are a Dill-icious addition to our already famous spicy pickle chips!

      Lean Beef for me too, White Castle Cheeseburgers ...
      Trust in the Lord with all your heart
      And do not lean on your own understanding.
      In all your ways acknowledge Him,
      And He will make your paths straight.
      Do not be wise in your own eyes;
      Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.

            Lou, put in a tortilla!

              From the point I put it in that bowl, I cooked it for another 20 minutes on low simmer to get the moisture out of it. The rest will be eaten on tortillas.

              LouReed that sure looks tasty. Any chance we could get the recipe posted down in the "Recipe Section"?

                Sure. Like most recipes, I start with something I get on-line and adjust each time based on my own opinion and that of a few others.

                        Two pieces of bologna separated by two pieces of velveta slices with pickles and lettuce on white bread with mayo and bag of Lays potato chips.
