Cool pic! Man those harvest gold appliances bring back some memories. My parents had them for a while.

Anytime you see bobcats during the day you have a problem . I've caught around 50 or so when the fur prices were up, a lg cat would bring around 60 depending on quality. I have a close friend who is a professional trapper, he gets 40-50 a year while targeting coyotes. I still enjoy burying a #3 coil spring on the edge of a dirt hole.
No body gives a poop about the mule until he stops pulling....stay feral my friends

They are all over the hill country. We see them when we are calling, in snares and on game cams. Lots of fox too.

Our daughter liv3s in Carrollton. She is about 15 or 20 minutes north of Love Field airport. She was out jogging in her neighborhood a couple of years ago, when a bobcat with a dead jack rabbit in it's mouth stepped out into the street ahead of her. She has a pic of it. She also has a pic of a coyote sitting on the side walk across the street from her house.

we saw two (possibly mom and baby ) running around the pasture behind us just this past weekend. Just west of Pecan Grove in Richmond. We had seen one a few years ago, but not since then. This was during the day and we were able to call them back in closer with an electronic call.

Slight hijack but Bo's post reminded me of the pet skunk we had for a while when I was a kid. My dad came home one day with it, I have no recollection of knowing where he got. It had been fixed/de-'sprayed' but still had a musky smell.

Bobcats are pretty cool animals. They don't have much fear in them, they look at you like you owe them money.
I don't have anything clever to write here.

The hog/doe/coyote hunt this weekend near Yancey we get to see a few. Landowner has strict rules against killing them.

Steve has the Sigman Ranch leased. We killed around 25 pigs, 6 does and coyotes just mover too quick for any shots.

BIL had a bobcat as a pet that would stalk and pounce on him. His dad worked for a road builder when they lived in Lubbock and found all kinds of young animals in utility trenches that he would bring home. He was the Steve Erwin of Lubbock Texas. He also had a fox, skunk, crow, owl, bull snake, ground squirrels, and tortoises just to name the ones I can remember. He said the skunk was the most docile but got evicted when accidently stepped on during Thanksgiving and sprayed the house. His mom wanted to get rid of them all.
