How many hours per year do you put on your boat - Excluding guides and professionals

I'm curious what the average amount of engine time we accumulate on our boats annually. No fudging please. I know between boats, motorcycles, planes, trips, etc... I'm probably on the low end. So far this year I've only accumulated about 20 hours. The motorcycle has accumulated roughly 5000 miles but will sit most of the summer.

More than 100 per year when I lived on Tiki. Dropped to probably 10 a year. A year ago I bought the Majek and between a new boat and keeping it in the dry stack I’ve put over 80 hours on it. Dry stack is just too easy.

Sold mine in 07 and not a day goes by im not looking at them. Just cant justify another if I only use it once a month or two. They deserve to float!

i have a 2015 Yamaha 150 w/only a buck eighty. I was working almost every weekend, so it sees little water.

I don't know, I don't have hour meters so I'd be guessing, but it's quite a bit I'm sure. The jon boat gets more than the skiff though. I'm going to do my best to wear them both out in a couple months.

I voted based upon previous years. For many years my wife and I fished every Saturday from early March through November, regardless of the weather. If there was downpour or lightening at the boat ramp we went. Did a LOT of running around 'searching' so lots of hours. Now days, not so much, probably no more than 15-20 hours a year. Boat hasn't seen the water since November 2025.

The first year we got our boat, we put over 100 hours on it. We fished pretty hard those first 2-3 years. Then, we took on more work in our business and hardly put any hours on it at all for 1-2 years, plus it needed a lot of maintenance. But this year, I fixed a lot of things on it that needed done, and we're using it pretty regularly again.

I'm not much on running the boat just to be running the boat. I'm more of a get to my spot and start fishing kind of guy, so its not a lot of hours for me either. On a good year, I might put 50+ hours on it and that's fishing a couple times a month.

Fished Rockport for 3 days this past weekend from sun up until about lunch time each day, so roughly 5ish hours per day and I put .8 hours on the boat. I fished the same spot all 3 days. Waded on day 1 and drifted on day 2 and day 3. It was about an 8 min boat ride from the house to the my fishing spot. Literally ran it from the house to the fishing spot and shut it off. Cranked it and ran it back to the house.

Bought a new Suzuki 175 in 2018. Ran it to 2025 before the lower unit gave out. Had a little over 1000 hours - so about 140 a year. Currently have a new boat with a 300 HP Yamaha and we are averaging about the same. I have three grown boys and they use it a lot. Generally have to service about every 7-8 months....
