Yesterday evening around 6 we strarted receiving much needed rain and 12 hours later it appears we are right in the middle.

I wish the best for yous guys in East Texas. It looks like there have been some spots that are getting hammered. The center of rotation and that band to the south ain't moving very fast.

Went to bed last night and radar showed the system approaching Livingston area. Woke up this AM to much needed gentle rain but radar shows very little movement overnight. There's some very nasty stuff just to the SE of the lake area that is barely moving and those folks are likely getting hammered. We don't need that kind of rain but it's prolly moving in our direction.

Looking at the future radar it looks like it may hang around Palestine, Rusk, Nacogdoches for awhile. Time will tell.

We FINALLY got some rain out of this thing in Magnolia, starting about an hour ago. It came down pretty hard twice with sideways rain, and I would estimate we probably got about 2” in that short time. Still rumbling thunder and the radar shows we may get more later this evening. The only real downside is the power has dropped twice for about 10 seconds each time.

Was told by a vendor they got 21 in Kountze Tx. Co worker called me about hour ago to go out there and survey damage early tomorrow morning. Apparently we floated a few fleet trucks there that are sideways against a treeline. Gonna be taking the long chains tomorrow for some old school recovery!!!

Well, the weather people got me today. Nothing from the storm on Tuesday then nothing Wednesday, both days showed high chance of rain. Today, possible late in the afternoon but radar showed nothing so about noon I decided to spray weed killer along the fence lines. As I was wrapping up the first 8 gallon tank the rumbling started and a few minutes later the rain started. Argh!!!
