    Isaac Paredes

Looks like the Astros locked him up for 1 year at just over $9M with a club option for 2027, unless he's in the top 10 in MVP voting then the option becomes mutual.

I wonder where he'll play with Correa likely taking up 3B and Walker at 1B and Yordan in the DH slot? Insurance for Correa perhaps?

Rest for all of the above including the midget, who will likely get more and more "rest".

Not sure about much in the ways of front office dealings in MLB, but I'm guessing they locked him up to trade him if they get the right offer. But I hope they don't

I like his game. The infield is old and brittle, he will get plenty of playing time. Then again, the outfield stinks so if they can get a left handed outfielder who can hit for Paredes, I'd be ok with that.

What's your point? That a low ranked prospect with minimal experience is a lock to be a good major league outfielder? I hope so, but I don't count on it.

.End of an era, if you are expecting any sort of game changing strategic moves by the Stros at this point, you will be dissapointed. Unload payroll, unless it's lance McCullers, and see what happens. By the way, they dumped Cam Smith back to AAA. Not a big fan of that, but not a big factor either. Thing is they don't have anyone better.

I can see their point. Cam struggled the last couple of months last season.

They didn't dump Cam to the minors. They said he has to earn his spot in spring training. Not the same thing. Right field is his to lose.

Yeah, no one gets "dumped to AAA" until after Spring Training.

Ok so what big time prospect did they bring up that they had to clear a roster spot for? The Jap pitcher or the Chicom pitcher with the +7 era?

I know its just politics, but the kid earned a spot on this team, not on the allstar team, but we don't have an allstar lineup any more.
