Wes is really starting to look good. Him, Cam, and Paredes for one year of tucker really illustrates how the astros should be operating. Big stars who don't sign extensions must be traded before their last year here. I would hit paredes up with a good extension and if he declines then trade him too.

It's the only way. Cam Smith is nothing special with a .670 ops but he is as good as this years K.Tucker. Peredes at times has carried the offense, and Wesneski even hurt has been a plus. It's still not enough. To many allstars have been allowed to walk, when they clearly indicated that was their intention. That is a Dana Brown problem, but I have some info that Crane is really the deciding factor with influence from Bagwell. Bagwell and Biggio reworked their contracts several times to make room for other players. Good on them for that, but that is not the current status quo, and not likely to return to that. So the only way is to trade for prospects. Prospects do not equate 100% of the time to major leaguers, but that don't cost you an El Cabayo, and a Tejada, and a Montero, and a Rodgers, and an Imai, and many more, who have been released but still got paid. Pena, Alvarez and Christian Walker coming due. We need pitching. Who will make the hard decisions? In the past, and I mean way in the Past, that has been a short list of people.
