Good grief just as I'm thinking, Peredes sees a crapload of pitches, and they might run Thornton out early ( 50 pitches in 2 innings), and the midget strikes out on three straight out of the zone.

Well I was specifically talking about helping the team get into a bad bullpen with a usually good starting pitcher on the ropes, BUT, Altuve is an equal opportunity bad pitch hitter. Just as many times I have seen him watch 2 right down broadway, then hit an eyeball high one into the cheap seats. Dudes been in the league for 15 years he ain't changing.

Well Blanco again tonight, which basically means another bullpen game, against another pretty good pitcher. If we just had one more reliable arm. I have a bad feeling that the Spaggetti trade is gonna be another wart on the D. Brown legacy.Comment

Some not so encouraging news....
The Astros have the hardest strength of schedule left of all of the AL West teams. The Mariners have the weakest strength of schedule left in all of the AL.
If the Mariners somehow figure out how to hit a baseball again to go along with their very good pitching and a weak schedule, I'd be a lot more worried about them than I would the Rangers.
I think its all for not unfortunately. I'm just not too confident the Astros can hang on at this point with the lack of depth in the rotation and a worn out bullpen.Comment

As of yesterday the Mariners would have to go 17-7 down the stretch. That's a high hill to climb. We just have to hang on and win the division, after that it's anybody's series to win.I don't have anything clever to write here.Comment

On the broadcast last night they said the Mariners were 10 games under 500. They would have to go 17-7 down the stretch to reach 500. They seem to think 500 could win the division. Assuming the Astros play 500 ball down the stretch, Seattle would need to 17-7 to catch us. -
I thought you didn't do assumptions, only stats. The stats say you can hand the AL West trophy to the Stros, they will be the 3 seed and play the Indians (f- the Guardians) in the wildcard series as the home favorite. -

Good news is the Rangers are about to get run ruled by the Assletics, so they don't just beat the brakes off the Stros. The Marinaters are beating the Red Sox, both are good news for us if we could manage to overtake the Whitesox. Speculation!Comment
