Are they going to stop winking at each other when meeting and return to hand salutes ?

Back when Clintons terms don't ask don't tell there was a joke the military was doing away with the salute and instead just winked.

Fort Liberty sounds like an encampment where the REMF's live in a war zone. For Bragg is where the snake eaters live.

Well, sorta... They found some guy with a silver star from WWII named Bragg and named it after him... Now we just need to find somebody named Hood with some similar commendation.

Just some guy that earned a Silver Star. Never head of a Hero described as “just some guy”.
Why were the names changed? Was it in response of St Floyd, the drug addiction death causing the riots?

Allow me to amend your post Doc.

They found some guy named Bragg THAT EARNED AND WAS AWARDED a Silver Star in WWII.

Having known a couple fellas that were awarded that medal and heard their recollection as to what they did that prompted the military to award them that medal…it ain’t no small thing.

Bill, we never heard of the guy before this, did we? Pretty obvious they just went shopping in the records and picked the one with the right name and the best commendations. I’m perfectly good with naming it after him too, but you’ve got to admit it’s an end run around naming it for a Confederate general. Either that or it's just an absolutely astonishing coincidence that the next guy on the base-naming list happened to
have the same relatively uncommon last name. Especially when he never showed up on a candidate list until they started looking for ways to change the name..

One thing that was never talked about…until after the fact.
Ft Hood LZ for Airborne operations is full of dayum cactus.
Funny now but not in the past

Getting expensive can someone please stick with a name or keep original name. If not close or exact spelling to save on all the letterheads, gift store statues, and signage not requiring changes.
