Religion is almost never the reason for a war. The reason is almost always power. Religion is sometimes the tool those who want the power use to achieve their wars and other nefarious ends.

      Read the Book.

The Book says Israel will sign a peace treaty with their neighbors.

Almost all of them have already expressed interest and some have already signed. The Saudis were going to until October7 happened.

Biblically the Iran regime of today has to go.....Iran as it exists would never be part of that Peace that must at some point occur.

This not the mighty Trump solving the Worlds problems and estabishing peace.

      This God setting the stage...........

At the same time we must also remember that Biblically Israel is not a Government. It is a People. They existed before the country or nation existed.

I predict that Trump will take it as far as he has to take it in order to get positive results. I'm going leave it to Trump to hash it out as I believe he has more insight, more intel, a sense of what's right for the people involved, better knowledge of what's actually going on between the countries and a better plan moving forward than any one of us.

So what in your mind are you defining as "positive" results?

All valid points, but you guys do understand that no matter what we do, its not going to improve. As soon as we leave/finish, the threat will still remain whether that's 10 years, 20 years or 50 years from now. Not to speak for others, but I get a sense that's the frustration a lot of people have with this "conflict". What is truly the strategic plan and what are we hoping to accomplish? In other words, what does success look like with the understanding that you're never going to completely eliminate the threat.

Iran used to be the most advanced and freest country in the middle east under the Shah. Persia was one of the most civilized areas for thousands of years. Even the Bible had nice things to say about Xerxes, despite him later being villainized in 300. Give the regular Persians some guns and let them work it out with the mullahs. Its what we did in Syria.

I would hope we have learned our lesson about giving them guns and telling them who they should shoot at . I'm not against giving them guns and letting them make their own choices.

Saudi Arabia and UAE doesn't care. They're fine with Oil over $100 a barrel. They have plenty but so do we but we ship most of it out. Their gasoline in $2.40 a gallon. Ours $4.00.
The US exports more oil than we import. We don't refine a large portion of the oil we drill baby drill for

Trump commented today that he stands by his original timeline that the war with Iran will only last 4-6 weeks and he doubled down by claiming we are "way ahead of schedule". Am I the only one who doesn't feel like this thing is going to be over in the next day or two? Saturday is officially the 4 week mark since this thing started.

Trump didn't start this war, Hammas/Iran did. He used his position to weaken the Iranians enough to make them vulnerable to all foes, he can't end it any more than he can end Russia/Ukraine, but he can influence it. The Hyenas are circling.

I don't see this thing ending in a useful way unless either Israel or we send in troops, while you can do lots of damage from the air, you can't really defeat a country without boots on the ground. Without some grunts going in and rousting out these rats from their tunnels and either killing them or disarming them, they're not defeated, because someone has to do the dirty work. I hope that Trump stays with his unconditional surrender terms. As I said earlier, if they go in kickin' ass and taking names, I'm all in favor of it, but don't do it half way.

Nobody wants to see our young people have to go to war, but you know as well as I do that no war is won from the air. I'm sure my Grandparents didn't want my Dad to go to fight the Japanese, but he went.

Ox - We’re applying the same standard that was applied to the previous idiot—because, apparently, that’s the bar. When a decision triggers an estimated $6–$11 trillion loss in global market value (roughly $3 trillion in the U.S.) and drives up energy and product costs, it’s not unreasonable to expect more than improvisation.

A move with consequences this large should have come with a credible, well‑thought‑out plan. Better yet, stay out of netan-yahoos conflicts.

"Not quite correct"? Its turning out to be a blatant lie. Why would anyone be okay with that when it leads to a war, which leads to Americans dying and billions of dollars being spent? Never mind the fact he campaigned on no new wars. Certain people think T can do no wrong and then when he does F up and gets called out, we're just being petty. He was so caught up in making everyone believe that the bombing operation last year was the greatest bombing operation every recorded in American history that he flat out lied about the results and now we're all suppose to just sit back and be okay with the decision to go to war over it?

I am 100% in agreements that Iran should NOT have a nuke, but what happened to T being the greatest negotiator ever in the history of mankind (my words, but we all know he thinks it). You mean to tell me he couldn't just get Iran to negotiate with him, especially after bombing them last year? Reagan didn't seem to have a problem getting Iran to negotiate. If Trump was as good as he wants everyone to believe he is when it comes to Iran, then war would not have been necessary.

Y'all seem to be missing a basic point, when Ronnie pulled off the hat trick with the Ayatolla Hominey, he was one administration away from Iran being , not exactly an ally, but for sure a trade partner. The Iranian regime /radical Islam has progressed much and traveled far since then, including Europe, and the US, which is their long term plan, Live long and prosper, and expand to all corners of the earth.

I don't want us in a war, especially with troops on the ground. But Iran should have been neutralized many years ago IMO. I will put up with higher gasoline prices for a while if we can accomplish the task of destroying their nuclear capabilities. Trump is not perfect by any means but compared to Hussein Obama and FJB, Trump is wonderful.

The biggest threat to the US is our 535 congressional members. We need congress to actually serve the citizens rather than just staying in there for life and getting rich from all the illegal things they do. We have mentioned "The Swamp" for years; and the swamp is definitely still there.

The problem is that it's an islamic country: the tribal islamic sects mean more than the national government does. We're going to end up with another game of whack-a-mole, with a new islamic government that will ultimately degrade into something else we can't stomach..

What’s especially frustrating is the U.S. is likely to end up back in a deal that prohibits iran from developing a nuclear weapon—one that relies on inspections by a so‑called neutral third party—despite the fact that a framework like this previously existed. It may have been a crappy deal but abandoning it outright without negotiating a replacement created the very outcome we’re now circling back to.
