    America Reads The Bible

    The may be Hope yet...

    WHAT TO KNOW

Nearly 500 participants are set to read the Bible aloud from Genesis to Revelation over seven days

The event runs April 18–25 at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C.

Daily readings are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., following an opening celebration Saturday night

President Donald Trump is expected to deliver a recorded Scripture reading during the event

More than 100 ministries and national figures from politics, media and entertainment are participating

“America Reads the Bible” kicks off in Washington, D.C., with its Opening Celebration and red carpet arrivals. The weeklong event marks 250 years of the Bible in America. Faith leaders, politicians and public figures will participate in continuous readings from Genesis to Revelation at the Museum of the Bible.
Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

    Onward, Christian soldiers,
    marching as to war,
    With the cross of Jesus
    going on before!
    Christ, the royal Master,
    leads against the foe;
    Forward into battle,
    see his banner go!

Definitely a good thing. There seems to be an uptick in Christianity. There has been an increase in Roman Catholicism due through birth (legal & illegal aliens) and those who were Christian and converted to Roman Catholicism.
Why am I so cynical of the media and the government these days?

Big uptick in men, particularly young men, turning to Christianity. Great trend to see. Women always lag behind men by a couple years on these social trends, but they will get there.

My younger son (16) has been reading it on his phone. I think more for historical purposes but that caught me off guard. Can't hurt.

Literally the Words of Life. The cure for all that ails us... in it's historic context of course. Glad to hear.

There has been a positive trend in this direction for some time, but ironically is rarely mentioned in the media. California of all places has been sponsoring mass baptisms and the number of participants has been growing. The same thing has been happening on a lot of college campuses. Wonderful to see, but the media doesn't want to promote it!

This is all good to hear, we should all be reading our Bibles daily and praying for revival.

I just finished reading The Living Bible cover to cover for the second time. I can't say I totally understand or comprehend everything but I did read it.

I wonder how many takes it took Trump to read his pre recorded verse? You know darn well he'd be fkn with those folks. "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, and maga" He can never ever stay on script. Which is why folks love to hear him riff off.

That's small. Ezekiel 38-39 gotta be old testament.

Never got into organized religion. It always seemed like fans supporting their favorite home town sports team, eastern and Western conferences

Matt, organized religion can have its place, but its highly overrated. However, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is priceless.

Why are you so obsessed with him? Its not our fault that you're like in love with Trump.
