Trump is sticking to his guns for some reason, I dont think he went to war just to shoot bullets and drop bombs on people.

Our debt just topped 40 trillion today. The bond market is showing signs of weakness, the price of WTI is back up to almost 90.00 and inflation is lurking. If there has ever been a better time to avoid a war it is now. We really need to come and put America first before Sgrem has to trade in his BMW for a 1973 Ford Maverick to pull his boat around with!

We could not get it done militarily so now the plan is to "sanction" Iran into submission. Not a bad plan but Trump has to be willing to enforce the sanctions on China. You don't have to be Nostradamus to see another big fat TACO coming soon.

Iran has now come out and said they have a 2 year plan to withstand Trump's sanctions. In other words, we'll just wait him out and then when he's no longer President, we'll go back to how it used to be anyway. Time will tell how valid Iran's "plan" is, but my guess is waiting out Trump as President has probably been their approach the whole time.

My guess is, we'll look back on this "war" and both sides will be in the exact same position they were in before Feb 28 2026 and we'll have nothing to show for the billions being spent on it.

On a side note, anyone know exactly what "sanctions" we put on Iran? I'm seeing a lot of headlines that talk about sanctions and how devastating they'll be to Iran's economy, but nothing that specifically outlines what the sanctions are.

Actually we/world will be worse off globally, if you include the dead wells. In the mean while Iran "discovered" a massive gas well.

As of now, they are just warnings to other countries to not do business with iran....nothing specific has been announced. The US is trying, again, to get others involved.

I still have confidence T will figure out an off ramp to this. He may have to claim victory and walk away, but I can't imagine a scenario where the Rs aren't putting more pressure on T to get out of this. Could you imagine the election $hit show for the Rs in 2028 if the US is still fighting with iran. Might as well give the presidency to the dems.

I can't argue with that. But my issue is that I see certain facts (good or bad) that lead me to conclusions. For those of us that were troubleshooters most of our adult life are wired to look at a series of facts in order to diagnose a problem.

Quick example that I think many on the forum will or can agree with (or maybe not). I had a piece of equipment go down. Upon investigating I find that conrol valve 1 closed, then flow in line 2 went down then the pump providing product to the splitter tower tripped (and the chain reaction continued). All of those things are facts, but the question was why did the control valve close. Upon further investigation we look at the history on the control system and find that the controller for the control valve was put in manual and the output was set to zero and the valve closed.We also know what operator was on the board at the time ----- that is a lot of facts, but we still don't know what the motivation for closing the valve (false alarm, lack of attention, controller problem, etc)

So, the troubleshooter starts with checking the alarm history, functionality of the controller, etc. The troubleshooter is not wrong to do those things even if they find a different cause.

Point is that if I hear a person say something it is a fact that they said it and if afterwards I saw something that proved that the fact was incorrect - I feel ike I have every right to question what was said. If you see the same things many times with the same person - you come to your own conclusions.

Here’s my prediction. Iran waits trump out. Dims and rhino dummies give power back to dims. Dims start sending pallets of money to Iran again. Iran uses the money to finally get a nuke. The next day Iran nukes Israel and the US as promised. Dims and rhinos blame Trump.

Bessent is issuing a secondary sanction on Iran via their trade partners. Iran hasn't been tied to the USD since 1975. Iran's trading partners do use the USD among other foriegn currencies. Thats where Bessent figured he could hit Iran.

Besset is either an idiot savant. Or a Yes man. I say he's both. Its impossible to think a smart financial guru wouldn't take into account all of Iran's regional trading partners. Who have been trading with Iran for 50 years without USD. His largest and stupidest belief was China and Russia would sanction Iran.

All this posturing, sanctions, and economic warfareis pushing any mildly intelligent country away from the USD. What do we export any country needs they cant get somewhere else much cheaper?

Its like this administration is purposely trying to destroy our economy.
