One man's trash is another man's treasure. We target them specifically for tiger shark bait. Slot reds are a dime a dozen!

I would cut them up in crab trap size chunks and load up on crabs ! They are not a game fish so it's legal .

Just found out recently about the Jack Crevalle runs and now have a sudden urge to hook up on one or 2 opf these fish. Have only caught small ones,but apparently they cruise neaar the jetties and can be a fun outing.
I have some heavy silver spoons, kastmasters and such that are used in Peru for catching corvinas (similar to striper fishing) in rough waters with lots of potential hangups, so it seems like they could work on the jetties.
Any intel on how/when would be best to hook up on one of these trashmonsters?

I was spooled on Calcaseiu , be careful what you wish for.

They still aren't schooling up yet. Been a dark30 morning bite and not hitting lures. Mullets. Just got back thinking I'd catch them in the afternoon but been all in the morning from what I'm seeing.
