Interesting, but the bigger trout are paid for and stocked by Guadalupe River Trout Unlimited in the C&R areas. The TPW stocks much smaller trout in the catch and kill areas.

Yes, there is a one fish per person limit in the area we fished, and fish must be over 18 inches. For mathing purposes, there are 5 Bandits, and thus 5 trout to be kept in a day, all of which were over 18 inches. Kids get their own limit in Texas, does not count toward parents.

especially using "inferior" equip. and taking "their" fish out of the river....

Kweb, I actually got a ton of thumbs up from everybody on the river for keeping the fish. Not a single stink eye. Nobody ever commented on the gear other than to ask what we were getting them on. Most seemed impressed at the way we were racking them up, especially at the end where I was rolling fish after fish in 6-12 inches of water.
