    Caney Creek, Sargent

Tell me about fishing the creek near Sargent. Never fished this area before and we have a place on the water rented for the end of May. Any info greatly appreciated!

It all depends on boat traffic. We catch most of our fish between 3:00 a.m. and Sun up. I fish with rattle traps and Berkeley swim baits. Under the lights. There have been a lot of red fish in the creek. And gar. Haven't caught a trout in quite a while. Crabbing is also good. We use turkey necks on a string. Good luck!

It looks like it is about a mile from the ICW as the crow flies but not sure how far by water it is up the creek.

I can help you with a fishing report when your vacation gets a little closer.
I don't have anything clever to write here.
