Anyone close to the border? Worse or same as last year?

We had an issue last week. First one for us in a while.

DPS was chasing an illegal in a stolen Denali truck. They drove through our gate and made it int the ranch a good ways before bailing out and running. Was wanting to try out the Denali for a new hunting blind but DPS sent in a skid steer to remove it. They never caught the guy.

Maybe a new type season? Instead of hardened antler protruding through the skin, evidence of facial hair instead?

Ten miles from the border but only a 20 mile long caliche road with no crossing roads so not a big corridor for smuggling by vehicle. Foot traffics only and we’ve seen less on cameras and in person the last few months since it’s been 110 plus this year.
