I know it's not the answer your looking for but get a trailer that will hold grain and catch a farmer combining (harvesting) in the field. Cash works every time!

A feed store in Inez ( close to Victoria on 59) had it for 6.95/50 lbs. Bucee's in Luling is 7.95 now.

Leopold Grain in Nada is usually the cheapest. I paid $7.65 the other day at United Ag in El Campo...corn should be going down more with the volume of corn that has been harvested.

Anybody go by the Wharton Bucees? They have been even cheaper than Leupolds the last two years, but I don’t know about this year. And, I’ve never been able to call a Bucees.
I told them we’ve already got one

See my post #2. Doesn't take long to pay for a trailer to get it if you use much. I farm but only cotton, milo and wheat but put a wagon together to get corn from others that grow it.

Dex, you could GIVE them field-run corn and they'd bitch and gripe about it not working in their spin-feeders....

With the sky high costs of fertilizer the cost of cheap grains is probably over.

It went down a little this year, hence the slightly lower prices of corn.

Gorman Feed Mill, $8.10 per 50 lb. When purchased by the ton.

Same price for their whole corn cattle fed. Their whole corn cattle feed is "cleaned."

So, $324 a ton, as of Tuesday this week.

Heck, after the last year or two, I never thought I'd see it below $10 again.

                            Bucee's in Katy was $7.95

The days of cheap corn is gone with the high price of fertilizer and fuel, and then the demand for ethanol for fuel.
