Me either. Give me a gun with nice wood. Only guns I have with composite stock is a Rem 700 22-250 and a Ruger 44 mag pistol.

Chassis guns are often walking a really fine line between "yes, that's not a work of art, but it's a masterpiece of function, even if the form is a little lacking", and "damn, that's a piece of crap so ugly that I don't want my friends seeing me use it."

Above all, in a firearm I want accuracy. Sometimes it doesn't look so good. The Savage 110 Ultralite Elite is another https://savagearms.com/content?p=fir...ummary&s=58145

Not for me at this time, .maybe if I won the mega mil jackpot 😁
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.

When I was young and still shot a lot of deer I wouldn’t buy anything but the prettiest wood I could find. Now that I’m old and hunt close to 50 days a season, I haven’t bought a wood stock in ages. They’d look like hell after one good season.
                I got nuthin….

Lots of gun builders not too many stock makers now. I got to meet Don Dobratz one time and see just how he did it. Almost bought a couple of rifles that he made the stocks for one was a mesquite Mauser action .243. I don't know who built the actual barreled action he just said a fellow from down south might have been Byron Dugat or Dwight Marshall. I almost bought a beautiful 25-06 Dale Kimbo made, if he did the stock hats off to him it was nice. Barrel had his name stenciled on it I heard he passed away I went with a friend of mine to Lake Jackson to look at some rifles one time and to get some parts from one of my Mausers he had. We had given them to him thinking we would never need them again I ended up with a couple of actions that needed parts I never gave stuff away after that. Lot of talking in this video but nice looking almost wood stocks. Not too ugly.

Damn Bret I can't believe you said that. I figured you as someone that would treat his firearm great and not beat one up! I've hunted with my Browning 270 a-bolt since 1986 religiously and the stock is flawless.

I have been buying Classic Sako rifles over the past 3 years. The latest is a Finnbear in 25-06.
                        Definitely Maybe

Prettiest stock I had was a Remington 700 in 270...but couldn't stop it from stringing shots vertically. Had it worked on by gunsmith with no help. Hogue overmold stock corrected that.

The CZ rifles I have bought have good looking stocks. One has a laminated thumbhole stock some people might not like it my CZ/Huglu shotgun has nice wood. I forgot my CZ 527 .223 Rem has a Kevlar composite stock it's kind of dark grey/black looking spider web finish I believe it's HS Precision. Cheap Savage Stevens Turkish .243 I have been wasting a bunch of money on has a nice wood stock.
