first time I had heard of this was a few yrs ago...
FN built Browning Superposed had a bad batch... (reason I never heard was cuz I couldnt afford one)

The rifle I restocked for my friend was ate up but all underneath the stock. Even the magazine spring was messed up luckily I had a bunch of Mauser parts as far as I know that rifle is still being used by his daughter.
