That is more the style of rifle I grew up liking, back to Jack O'Connor and Bob Brister days. Of course, not that large of caliber, but real wood with great grain, bolt action, blued steel, that type of rifle.
I believe a group of investors bought Dakota Arms and Parkwest is the new Dakota. I looked at several Dakota rifles at an estate sale several years ago they were at bargain table prices even being used slightly. Cheapest one was a .22 and it was over ten grand. Must have been a one of a kind had two stocks and barrels.
