Haynie or Shoalwater boat...just in general??

Been looking at both. Any expert opinions? I fish mostly shallow water.

Talking about the cats I assume?
both great machines and plenty capable in shallow water. Haynie will have more storage and ride better because its heavier.

Been on a few haynies and they're awesome. Not been on a shoalwater but they look cool.

Ok, this is my take between the 2. Been many hrs on both, and owned a SW cat. Haynie wins in storage and ride, like Grem said. SW will run shallower, and be faster. Also, Waypoint's rigging is superior to Chris's. They are both excellent boats, and are backed by excellent dealers, as long as you don't buy a SW from TX Marine. Trans 24 is a big ole solid sled, no doubt. If you like to fish off the boat, it's hard to beat the platform it provides. Just gonna give up 10mph over the SW with the same motor.

Owned neither but spent time in both. Between those two, I'd go with the Haynie, but I'm a fan of Transport products as well.

My old 21' Tran Cat would run in 3" of water and handled big chop very well. Swells, not so much.

I've owned a Shoalwater 23' Cat since 2008. I've pulled several Haynie's off of flats south of Port Manfield. It's the driest, smoothest, shallow water boat i've ever been on for a 23'. Love mine!

SW is cheaper. I loved mine and would buy another. It was a fun boat and by far exceeded my expectations. In fact surprised me often with its capabilities.

Nah, they are pretty much identical in prices if you build them out like each other, talking thru Waypoint. I did this a couple years ago, 23 SW was 105, 23 Haynie was 106.
