Yesterday it was time to put my dog down. He had been with us for 12-13 years and was the best dog I could have ever asked for. There was not a day go by he was not waiting at the door for me to come home (regardless of the time), every night when I would go upstairs for my shower he was close behind, he had very few accidents in the house, he knew where to lay during fireworks (by me), he lived the best life and made our family complete. We were fortunate to say our goodbyes but he knew the time had come. He didn’t fight it, he was tired and ready for his forever nap and I was happy to be the lap he fell asleep in.
