The 10’er is done on the bottom side now. I have no idea how I’m going to lift it into the counter yet. I may need a volunteer to help me. Click image for larger version

Thanks Breaux. I got a guy here in Crockett that wants to borrow my texture gun, so I said I’d loan it to him if he helps me set em up there. He said he would bring his helper. Lol all I have to do is supervise. Things always seem to work out.

How are you going to handle the seams? These tops tend to have chamfered edges . Do you cut the edge flat for the joint and then retouch the edges to round them slightly? Do you use biscuits or dowels? I used dowels and just butted them together once. I caulked the seam but was never really happy with the results. I’ll do it differently next time. Where did these tops come from? You’re getting there, good job.

I bought square edge tops just for that reason. There is only 1 butt joint in the system. I do have a biscuit joiner but don’t think I’m going to use it so it can expand and contract. I have a plate underneath to hold the butt joint together. That and construction adhesive.
