What knot do you use to tie braid to the spool? Also, what knot do you use to tie mono to braid?

Hollow core? If hollow core wrap around the spool 10 times or so then wrap the tag end line around the main line. Using a needle kit shoot the tag end back onto the main line towards the spool. It constricts the spool the harder you pull. I'll be spooling up a few reels and try to take some pics. You can mimic the same style with solid core using a bimini loop.
For mono to braid FG or splice it up if using hollow.

I tie mono to the spool with an arbor knot for 10 wraps or so.. then crazy Alberto mono to braid.

One tightly wrapped piece of electric tape around the spool gives the braid something to bite into. You can get as tech as you want, but I have been using this on Stellas and Saragossa for years for tuna and have never had a slip.

Mono to braid nothing compares to a PR knot tied at the house, and FG knot if needed on the boat and a uni-to-uni for quick tie.

I assume you are talking heavy tackle.

I only use braid on my spinning reels for tuna and my offshore bottom fishing reels.

Abor knot for the reel, double uni for line to line, single uni at hook/lure etc.....

I tie fluoro to braid with a double uni knot, use a fluoro leader every time.
