Is there a big difference between these and the regular? I can buy the Waygu at 307 meat in Laramie, but is expensive.
      Definitely Maybe

I think Snake River Farms is VERY highly rated. Yes, that was a bargain.

There’s enough difference to make it worth it….in my opinion….

Too many digits in that price!

The first Wagyu I bought was a SRF and it was well worth the price.

No, more of a one upper in my opinion. Like a Rolex vs. a Timex, both tell the same time.

I went to Camp Brisket at A&M last year, one of their "demonstrations" was to have the same pitmaster cooking each of all the different grades, from select up through an SRF wagyu: same seasoning, same pit, same everything. Then we did blind taste tests on it and were to grade each. The SRF did win out, as expected, but I don't know that it was anything I'd call a spectacular victory. The interesting thing about it is just what is prime now: Prime is supposed to be the top of the heap on the USDA grading scale, and there were 3 different primes there: a Prime, a Super Prime of sort, and the SRF Wagyu. Prime is supposed to be only 3% of so of all graded beef, and that doesn't even count all the beef that goes through there without getting graded. Interesting way the business is morphing.

I think the main thing with the Wagyu is just all of the EZ bake oven guys have to come up with something to compensate for their inability to cook a brisket to begin with.

Not sure about paying that for a brisket. We buy prime but with my easy bake oven they always turn out perfect and delicious.

Daaaanggg....new truck, Wagyu brisket. Makes me wonder what travels along on those trips to the deer lease.

Great find and hope it turns out great when you smoke it.

New Truck? That thing's at least two or three months old now. By Bret standards that's positively prehistoric.
