They had soundproof studio rooms all around the sides and very liberal about taking what you wanted in to play it. The 54 les paul was off limits though. Lol

Number one song you HAVE to play on one of those is Smoke on the Water....those sales guys have Never heard it before.

Per your comment about being off limits....who are they waiting on to buy these collectables? Always pissed me off when they do that.

Pretty much anyone with the money I guess. That 50k Martin was available to play if you wanted. The 230k Les paul was not. Lol

I cannot afford to walk into that place. My will power would vanish, totally.

Amazing!! Now that would almost be worth the drive to see.

btw, based on her expression, I think the one lady thought you were stalking her. LOL

I’ve been stalking that one for quite a while. Lol. I got that look every time I took one off the rack.

I once bought some things from an older couple and they asked me to help them with a few things around the house like moving some heavier items, etc. One thing he wanted me to do was to hang a couple guitars on the wall. Much to my amazement he had more than 50 guitars he had collected over the years. He went on to telling me about some of them, about their collectability and what they were worth.

I've had a few friends have big collections. Always amazes me where they get tucked away and who owned them previously.

Think I'm down to seven currently. Some payable, some needing guts. They get like a pistol or car collection....all have a story, all need some love.

My wife and some friends spent some time in there on our last trip to Nashville. According to her I spent way too much time in there lol.

Hell I walked into the Guitar Center in Stafford last month for some strings and walked out with a new Taylor guitar.

My wife was not amused lmao.
