Haven't seen any here, but at my age they may be faster than me.

I'm thinking of making a strong salt solution and spray it where they are crawling up

I was thinking yesterday there are less this year than the past. Ones I have noticed are very small

My mother converted our garden to organics in the late 70s. I was one of her two sons that formed the labor force and I learned a lot of tricks.

For snails, she'd take a beer bottle, or soda bottle - long narrow neck - and half-bury it on its side, tilted with the bottom of the bottle deeper than the lip which would be at ground level. It would have a small amount of beer in it. Overnight, the snails go for a drink and can't get back out. My father tried again and again to find another way, because he hated to see beer "wasted," but admitted it was deadly effective
