Okay, note to self: in case of tornado, don't hide behind the wind turbines.

Reed Timmer is absolutely obsessed with getting up close and personal with tornados. His livestreams when there are tornado producing storms are crazy. This is what he chases in.
Storm tracker Jim Cantore reports that storm chaser Reed Timmer has designed vehicles he hopes can take measurements from inside a tornado.

If that was posted by anybody but Reed Timmer, I'd say the first part of it looks like CGI. Scary stuffComment

Is it real, or is it AI?That old adage that states "If you want something done right you must do it yourself!", didn't quite hold true regarding my latest surgery.

They're locked. They put the brakes on to keep them from spinning themselves into oblivion in high winds. Sometimes even that doesn't help from making that oblivion trip.Comment

Huh, I'm thinking big winds big energy production, they are wind turbines right? Maybe I'm reading this wrong, So if you have no wind, or too much wind, delivered to a generator that produces energy by wind, you have no energy, and if you have energy that is generated by the sun, and the sun don't shine, you have no energy, but if you have energy that is generated by a fuel scource, lets call it coal, as long as someone puts coal in the fuel scource, you still have power. I think I am for that.Comment

Now let us know where to get free gas and coal. -
I guess you would get free coal and gas the same place you get free wind energy? -
We do get free wind energy. We also get free sunlight. It just costs money to utilize it, just like it costs money to utilize coal and gas: that's likely a wash, although the wind and solar probably has an edge on actual capital cost there as well: it's just cheaper than a power plant.. Cost of the fuel is the key here, though..
