If she likes the Lodge and uses it a lot once it is not longer usable I'll get a le creuset. Just not sure that it will really get used that much.

When the wife and I got married, 54yrs ago, we received a Dutch oven for a wedding present. We've used it forever! When I saw this thread I started looking into a little research about Dutch Ovens! Where in the hell have I been all these years that this is now what you get when you quarry Dutch ovens?????

You'll love it. I also have a Lodge, as well as a Tramontina at the bay house and use both regularly. As a matter of fact mine is in the oven right now with a Cuban style pork roast. I make that nearly every time HEB has the 99cent pork butts. Whole family, even picky son, likes it.Comment
