Kevin I was going to state that fact. The better the dog than the more it hurts. And that is true to a point. Sounds like he had a good one, and hence a massive hole. Dang, more prayers sent. Not a whole lot worse in the world but after a while you hang onto all of the good stuff.

We buried 3, and have a fourth that will decimate me eventually but the good times, the games and affection, for all of the years get ripped out when they leave all at once. It takes a while to build up and become whole again. So I try to enjoy her enthusiasm and zest for life. It carries you on some days. And it is a grind on others. But the heart endures, and grows, and another puppy comes along. New horizons but others never forgotten. A new sun will rise, and with it perhaps a new best friend in time. As stated, prayers sent.
