Ok, so this is not in America (I think?) but Canada funded a project to develop a "Gaydar". It was tested on their Government employees and 400 people were fired for testing positive. To add insult to the injuries, the machine was named "The Fruit Machine".

like it or not, bitcoin is real. It's not a "currency" like initially promoted, but like a stock, but is most definitely real.

AI is being used to scam people out of money. One financial manager in Hong Kong was scammed out of 26 million dollars by way of a video conference replicating his CFO's face and voice. Video can be altered in any way a scammer chooses. In the near future the question everyone will be asking is "is that real?". AI generated videos of political candidates and celebrities will circulate causing confusion. Talk about "fake news" and fact checking.
Porn and accusations of any kind can be generated by way of video and voice of your loved ones to extort $$. It has already happened.
Our habit and dependence on electronic, non-personal communication ie. texting, email, video conferencing has made it so easy to scam unsuspecting people, especially the old naive people. Unless you interface with people in person don't trust any video you see
