Tic toc truly a threat, or just a media giant the Dems don’t control?

Maybe they need some regulation, but is tic tok really a threat or is it actually just a media giant that the Dems don’t control? Why all this focus on only one of the social media giants? Something doesn’t smell right to me, I think that there is more to the story. What’s your take?

Tik tok is reportedly a tool of the Chinese government intelligence.

Both. This isn't a binary or discrete choice. Tiktok, or more accurately, ByteDance, is a real and persistent threat to the US, being used by the chinese communist party just like they would with pretty much anything else that gave them an avenue into American computers. I'm not really sure why any marginally intelligent individual would consider ANYTHING that came from the CCP to be a totally benign entertainment medium. Meanwhile, Congress is using that fact as a means and excuse to gain more control over the internet for their own nefarious purposes.

            Exactly....

Remember folks never let a good crisis go to waste. The government has long used real issues to advance their agenda. They hide all kinds of things in lthe Bills they try to pass.

Lots and Lots of evidence suggests that China is using this for espionage. To the media its just like twitter...they don't like it because they cant take bits and pieces of something and edit it into something they want.

If it is being used for espionage, it would be useful for disinformation. Now consider that the people that are up in arms about this are the same ones that can't tell you who's coke was found in the situation room.

All I know is that China strongly controls what their youth can view on TicTok ,while they freely spew every toxic stew they have at our youth.

Tictok is owned by Chn, everyone knows this, they are mining a multitude of data variants on anyone posting and even just watching. Danger zone!
