Love Irish Setters! Was just speaking about the with our Vet yesterday. She's been a Vet for 20 years and has never seen one as a patient. Ours was huge as a kid, he could easily clear the 6' stockade fence around our yard. Mont had a big ol Setter way back when he started 2C.

I was going to shout in the other post. You only live once. DO IT! DO IT! But I already knew you would. lol
Congrats on taking in some fine looking pups.Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

One very fortunate pup!
I purposefully stayed off the should I do it thread...but heartily congratulate you for taking that cutie (Red) in.
We had an Irish Setter 50 years ago that we adopted off a shrimp boat in Seabrook. Oh the tales I could tell...friendliest, selective hearing, happy go lucky dog I have ever seen. And can they run!
Congrats, and may you be rewarded greatly!Comment

Vetting should be #1 on your list. If they didn't keep up with her vaccinations you will want to get these started before introducing her to your two Chi's.
She has no idea where she is, and that you saved her, so for a long while I would not let her loose in a non fenced in area for a long while.
Attach a leash to her harness and let it go. She will start to get used to this after a time. Keeping a leash on her when you are outside with her is also a quick way to grab her (by the leash) and not startle her too much.
It may take her a long time to trust you, so, please be extra patient. We've had AnnaBelle for 4 years now and she still isn't sure about Ed and won't readily go to him.
Time is your best friend, and I'm sure Red will learn to love and trust you...in her timing.
Congratulations, again, on your newest addition to your family! 🐾❤️🐾The Windshield Is Bigger Than The Rearview Mirror...

How did Kylie's check up go, was she scared?Trust in the Lord with all your heart

He said she's in the top 10% of rescues health-wise. She was very timid. She fell asleep at one point because she is just exhausted. She got all of her vaccination and heart-worm prevention. Her weight was 59.2 and he wanted her to fill out a little more. She is petite though.
The vet said she won the mega- million jackpot by landing a home with me. He also said she was a beautiful dog.
